Italian independent Legance has appointed NCTM’s Paolo Pototschnig as a partner in its litigation and arbitration team.
Pototschnig joins Legance along with a four-strong team including senior counsel Paola Figliodoni.
Pototschnig’s hire comes as Italian firms are seeking to diversify in a weak market for transactional work. Legance’s recent partner appointments round included a promotion for litigator Cecilia Carrara (11 February 2011).
The NCTM team brings the number of lawyers in Legance’s litigation department to 25, including four partners.
Legance managing partner Giovanni Nardulli said dispute resolution was a service of “absolute importance” to the firm and its clients.
