Stephenson Harwood has hired real estate litigator Andrew Myers from SNR Denton as the City firm continues its spree of partner hires from the City rival.
The hire follows the recruitment of SNR Denton real estate finance co-head Andrew Hill and property partner Paul Hayward-Surry earlier this year, and real estate partner James Linforth last year (4 January 2012).
Myers, who has been a partner at SNR Denton since 2008, specialises in property disputes, professional negligence and contract disputes, acting for a range of clients including tenants, landlords, banks and corporates.
While at SNR Denton he was based in the firm’s Milton Keynes office, but will be transferring to Stephenson Harwood’s London base.
Last year he acted on behalf of a group of property developers, successfully fighting off a £56m claim brought by Multi Corporation following a failed shopping complex joint venture in Wolverhampton. Myers’ clients were ordered to pay just £2 and recovered their costs through indemnity insurance.
Stephenson Harwood commercial litigation head John Fordham said in a statement: “Andrew has a proven track record in securing the best outcome for his clients in property disputes and he brings with him a wealth of experience.”
