White & Case has promoted 35 partners across its global offices, including seven in London.
The firm said the City promotions are evidence of its continued investment in the office, following the promotion of five associates to partner earlier this year (9 March 2010).
The Wall Street firm has also made four partner hires in London in recent months: Christian Pilkington from Skadden Arps Slate Meagher & Flom; Christopher Czarnocki and Michael Doran from Gide Loyrette Nouel; and David Goldberg from SJ Berwin. The firm said it is committed to making further lateral hires in the City.
Commenting on the promotions White & Case chairman Hugh Verrier said: “Our new partners are all outstanding lawyers, with diverse experience and expertise. They represent the future of the firm and the confidence we have in our global business.”
London executive partner Oliver Brettle added: “The significant number of promotions we’ve made, plus the excellent lawyers who we’ve already hired this year – and will continue to hire – show our commitment to London, both as a centre of English law and as a major global financial market.”
The new London partners are: Tom Bartlett, Kirsti Massie and Euan Pinkerton in project finance; Louise Mor in asset finance; Kevin Ng in capital markets; Jeremy Trinder in banking; and Michael Turrini in construction.
A total of 16 partner promotions were made across the Europe, Middle East and Africa region.
