Macfarlanes has scooped a Clifford Chance structured finance partner as it looks to bolsters its debt capital markets and acquisition finance offering.
Rachel Kelly, who joins the firm on Monday, has been a partner at Clifford Chance for 14 years, playing a key role in developing the magic circle firm’s structured finance and debt capital markets practices. Her focuses include debt securitisation, structured repackagings and principal finance.
Kelly said:“This is an exciting time in the debt markets with opportunities to do complex work for a variety of financial institutions, funds, investors and corporate clients. Macfarlanes offers an excellent platform to do this and I look forward to working closely with the outstanding finance, tax, funds, regulatory and corporate transactional lawyers at the firm.”
