US firm King & Spalding has appointed London partner Garry Pegg to its 10-person policy committee, effective 1 January 2011.
Pegg, a corporate and commercial lawyer, is the co-managing partner of King & Spalding’s London office.
“My election shows the importance of London in our global network and King & Spalding’s continued commitment to implementing its international strategy,” said Pegg in a statement.
Pegg’s appointment also coincides with that of Atlanta litigation partner Andrew Bayman, the group leader for King & Spalding’s tort litigation and environmental practice, to the policy committee.
The new members on the policy committee replace Houston and Singapore partners Tracie Renfroe and Philip Weems, whose terms expire at the end of the year.
King & Spalding’s policy committee is responsible for firm policies, strategic initiatives and the overall enhancement of the firm. Members are elected by the partnership to a three-year term.
