Brown, who heads Hogan Lovells’ equity capital markets (ECM) practice, advises on public and private M&A and ECM deals.

He advised the Icelandic government on the recapitalisation of the country’s banking sector (27 July 2009) and on possible legal action again the UK government (30 October 2008).

News of his moves follows the departure of another Hogan Lovells partner to a US firm last week, with Weil Gotshal & Manges hiring finance partner Mark Donald.

Hogan Lovells declined to comment.
