A former Addleshaw Goddard partner has moved over to Finers Stephen Innocent to work in the firm’s employment team.

Jane Amphlett joined the firm as a partner this week – the fifth lateral partner to join Finers this year.

Carolyn Brown, head of employment at Finers, said: “We’re a standalone practice and are expanding our team. Jane has a particular specialism in board room hirings and firings and the focus is on acting for employers.”

Amphlett brings expertise in all areas of discrimination, which she gathered as head of equality at Addleshaws.

The hire follows on from news that former Addleshaws partner and head of IP Richard Kempner left the firm together with his director of patent litigation Stuart Jackson to set up a niche IP practice based in Leeds (11 May).
