Eversheds has hired a real estate partner from Berwin Leighton Paisner (BLP), the latest in a spate of hires in the sector for the firm in London.
Angus Ford, who made partner at BLP in 2008 (15 April 2008), is expected to join Eversheds next month. Ford specialises in investment and redevelopment schemes and acts for institutional developers and investors in all areas of real estate.
His hire comes after Eversheds took real estate tax lawyer Sebastian Daly from Clifford Chance last month. Daly, a director at Clifford Chance, joins Eversheds as a partner. As a qualified barrister, Daly will have to requalify as a solicitor to take up his new role at Eversheds.
In February, Eversheds hired Richard Lampert, a partner at Dundas & Wilson, as a partner in its London real estate team (8 February 2012).
In a statement, Eversheds real estate head Julie Stobart, said: “Angus is an excellent lawyer and we’re pleased to welcome him to the team. Our real estate team is experiencing rapid growth and we’re always interested in talented individuals to boost our capabilities even further.”
