CapQuest turns to GE Capital to fill general counsel role

Debt manager CapQuest Group has hired GE Capital’s chief compliance office to fill the newly created role of group general counsel.

Bill Flynn has spent five years at GE Capital – first as the Money Home Lending division’s general counsel, then its chief compliance officer –and before that was legal director at Zurich Financial Services.

Flynn joined CapQuest earlier this month and is responsible for corporate risk management, company secretariat duties, regulatory affairs, commercial agreements and legal services, reporting to CEO Mark Bunnault.

In a statement, Brunault said: “This new senior role has been created to support the future growth and ambitions of the business in our desire to develop in our existing core markets as well as move into new market sectors.”

Capquest was founded in 1985 and manages a debt portfolio of nearly £2.5bn.
