Canadian firm Heenan Blaikie has continued the establishment of its Paris office with the hire of a partner and senior associate from French independent Brandford-Griffith & Associés.
Jean-Jacques Essombè Moussio will head Heenan Blaikie’s French banking and finance practice. He also adds to the firm’s Africa expertise, which was a key reason cited by the Canadian firm for setting up in Paris in January this year (7 January 2011).
Essombè Moussio advises French and international banks and other financial institutions on matters including lending, financing, refinancing and restructuring, financial market regulation and investment funds.
He is joined at Heenan Blaikie by Sidonie Freoa, a senior associate.
Heenan Blaikie now has seven partners in Paris and a further 11 fee-earners.
