Burges Salmon has beefed up its agriculture offering by netting farming litigator Kevin Kennedy from Clarke Willmott.
He focuses on agricultural property, regulatory disputes and tort claims and joins the Bristol firm this month.
Food, farming and land team head William Neville said: “Bringing with him years of experience in agricultural litigation, his appointment will add yet more strength and depth to the team.”
Kennedy said: “Burges Salmon is able to offer a formidable service right across the food production chain, of which farming is such an integral part.”
Clarke Willmott has had a difficult few years that has seen the firm raise £1.89m through a capital call at the beginning of the 2009-10 financial year (8 Febuary 2011) and hold back a proportion of its 2010-11 profits from partners (4 July 2011).
