Dechert partner Corinna Mitchell has joined Pemberton Asset Management as its first general counsel.
Banking and finance partner Mitchell joined Dechert in 2008 from Baker & McKenzie and will work alongside compliance head and internal counsel Sarah Whitehead.
Dechert has a long-standing relationship with Pemberton Asset Management, having advised the company on its strategic relationship with Macfarlanes client Legal & General (L&G).
The deal saw the creation of a new direct lending platform for institutional investors, in which L&G made a 40 per cent equity investment in the group.
Mitchell first joined Baker & McKenzie in 1999.
