Andrew Singer can rightly be regarded as one of the only true construction barristers on the Northern Circuit and appears in the Technology & Construction Court almost on a daily basis. He has a sizeable construction practice with work derived from throughout England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Singer joined chambers in 1991 with the sole intention of developing a construction and associated professional negligence practice in the north. He joined the Northern Ireland Bar in 1997 and regularly receives instructions from solicitors in the province. He became a member of the Institute of Arbitrators in 1999 and is on the TECBAR’s adjudicator’s and arbitrator’s panels.
Singer served on the TECBAR committee for five years from 2001. He is an ADR Group accredited mediator for civil and commercial disputes and he has a wide experience of mediations from all sides of the process. He has acted as arbitrator and adjudicator on several construction disputes.
His practice is almost exclusively in the construction law field and associated professional negligence actions. Singer has also gained wide experience in the provision of procurement advice.
