Many of our financial institution clients have portfolios of lending outside the UK (be that residential or wholesale debt, consumer or wholesale lending). The success of our international team is based on close co-operation between our market-leading UK practice and colleagues throughout our global network.
This enables us to carry out standard and complex recoveries involving international portfolios of assets in countries such as Spain, France, Romania and Ireland.
In the UK, where we service 20–25 per cent of residential repossession litigation in England and Wales, we act for clearing and investment banks comprising 17 of the UK’s top 20 lenders, as well as finance companies recovering business-to-business and asset-backed debt, such as motor vehicles.
We have broad experience in recovering assets in many countries around the world. Our instructions cover prime and sub-prime books, first- and second-charge lenders, owner occupied and buy to let.
We are active at every stage of the recoveries cycle, including defended and un-defended mortgage and debt litigation, LPA receiverships, sales in possession, title rectification and professional negligence.
The strength of our service lies in the openness of our approach. We work hard to build partnerships that drive up performance, manage risks and, above all, deliver what clients want.
We do this using bespoke teams with a single relationship manager to manage cases through each stage of the repossession or asset recovery cycle. We understand the need to deliver a service based on adherence to service levels, in a risk-managed value-for-money way, while topping any ‘league tables’ our client uses to measure panel performance.
