Hogan Lovells continues to build tax team with second hire in a month

Hogan Lovells has hired a senior transfer pricing specialist from turnaround business Alvarez & Marsal in its London corporate tax team.

Fabrizio Lolliri is set to join Hogan Lovells as European director of transfer pricing on 14 October. He has nine years’ transfer pricing experience, having previously worked at France Telecom as group head of transfer pricing and also at Deloitte and KPMG.

At Alvarez & Marsal, a global firm specialising in turnaround and interim management performance, Lolliri’s job title was global economic specialist.

Hogan Lovells’ global tax co-head Fulvia Astolfi said the firm was seeing an increasing need from its clients for transfer pricing advice, particularly in the current economic climate.

“There is a particular focus internationally on transfer pricing as governments look to protect their revenues in the context of the global economic crisis,” said Astolfi. “Fabrizio’s appointment allows us to provide the highest level of customised transfer pricing advice in the context of commercially-driven group projects and M&A transactions.”

Earlier this year Hogan Lovells also hired Herbert Smith Freehills tax disputes partner Rupert Shiers in London (19 June 2013) and Gerard Neiens from Allen & Overy in Luxembourg (9 September 2013).
