Ireland’s MOP drops Ormsby Prentice to become Matheson

Irish firm Matheson Ormsby Prentice (MOP) has announced that it is rebranding as Matheson in response to a growing international client base.

In an email message sent today, managing partner Liam Quirke said almost 80 per cent of the firm’s business was now generated by international clients, many of whom refer to MOP as Matheson.

“Formally rebranding the firm as Matheson is, therefore, a logical but nonetheless exciting milestone for us,” Quirke said.

The rebrand will take effect on 30 October.

MOP is one of five Irish firms on the shortlist for Irish Firm of the year at The Lawyer European Awards, to be awarded in Monte Carlo this evening.
