Paul Flood is a senior commercial lawyer with a wide range of contentious and non-contentious experience often with a cross-border element, including the US, the CIS, sub-Saharan Africa and the Middle East.
Since qualifying in 1985 he has held positions at partner/counsel level at a number of English and US firms including Wilde Sapte (now SNR Denton), Leboeuf Lamb Greene & MacRae (now Dewey & Leboeuf) and Bryan Cave.
Flood’s experience includes asset/project finance, insolvency and restructuring, commercial financing transactions and commercial dispute resolution. He has also advised recently on UK anti-corruption legislation.
Paul has particular expertise in the aerospace/defence sector, where he has represented leading multinational manufacturers in high-profile and substantial transactions from RFP to financial close.
He has also had recent experience of the renegotiation of defence contracts with the UK government. Other sectors in which Flood has substantial experience include energy/natural resources, hotel/leisure, real estate and insurance/reinsurance.
