Don’t miss out on TLM awards

First the big news. Bowing to popular demand, as one does, the deadline for entries to this year’s The Lawyer Management Awards has been extended by two weeks to Friday 6 June. As we highlighted last week, these awards are the one place where business services professionals can get the chance to be recognised for the work they’re doing in delivering legal services in often new and innovative ways .

Now is the time to mull over those canny solutions to HMRC’s knotty LLP tax problem; or consider the work involved in a major office move; or reappraise the benefits of that technology overhaul you’ve just implemented.

HR professionals could do worse than revisit their trainee recruitment policies, diversity plans or HR projects to look for innovations. All will be in the frame for a gong come October. Note that it’s free – and easy – to enter. All we ask is that entries are accompanied by a donation to the domestic abuse charity Refuge.

And now the week’s other big news. The mastermind behind Addleshaw Goddard’s Transaction Services Team, Andrew Chamberlain , has jumped ship to DWF. Chamberlain, an advocate of new service delivery mechanisms, will join DWF as employment head. Expect more innovation from one of the market’s trailblazers.
