DLA Piper advises EVRAZ on the sale of its Czech subsidiary EVRAZ Vitkovice Steel

DLA Piper has advised EVRAZ on the auction sale of its wholly owned Czech subsidiary EVRAZ Vitkovice Steel (EVS) to a consortium of private investors for a total consideration of $287m (£170m)

The DLA Piper team was led by partners Constantine Lusignan-Rizhinashvili (corporate, Moscow) and Julien Hansen (corporate, Moscow), who were assisted by associates Andrei Sheetkin (corporate, Moscow) and Adam Hartley (corporate, Moscow).

In other jurisdictions, the DLA Piper team included partner Pavel Marc (corporate, Prague) and associate Jakub Cisar (corporate, Prague) in the Czech Republic, senior associate Pierre-Yves Genot (finance and projects, Brussels) in Belgium and partner Paul Stone (litigation and regulatory, Leeds) in the UK.

EVRAZ is a vertically integrated steel, mining and vanadium business with operations in the Russian Federation, Ukraine, the US, Canada, the Czech Republic, Italy, Kazakhstan and South Africa. The company is listed on the London Stock Exchange and is a constituent of the FTSE 250.
