Oppenhoff turns to Orrick and Sidley to add to new Frankfurt base

German firm Oppenhoff & Partner has recruited two more partners for its Frankfurt office, which is set to launch in August this year.

Competition partner Andrés Martin-Ehlers will join from Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe while corporate partner Jérôme Friedrich has been recruited from Sidley Austin.

Friedrich will rejoin former colleague Oliver Kessler, who is heading up the office (18 October 2012).

Meanwhile Oppenhoff is also relocating two partners from its Cologne office to strengthen Frankfurt. Corporate partner Ronald Meißner and litigator Silvanne Helle will bring the number of partners in Frankfurt to five, reinforced by a team of associates.

Martin-Ehlers provides strategic and contentious competition advice, while Friedrich acts on M&A, banking and capital markets transactions.

Senior partner Michael Oppenhoff said Frankfurt would launch with a strong team and planned to expand.
