Employment law alliance Ius Laboris has announced that US employment firm FordHarrison is its new US member, six months after previous Stateside firm Littler Mendelson quit the group.
FordHarrison has over 20 offices across the US.
Littler Mendelson withdrew from the alliance last year (11 October 2012) as it wanted to focus on its own international expansion.
Alliance chair Chris Engels, who was appointed to the role earlier this year (7 January 2013), said the US was a key market for clients.
FordHarrison co-managing partner Herb Gerson said joining the alliance would help the firm meet the need of its clients for assistance outside the US.
Ius Laboris expanded its presence in Eastern Europe and the Middle East in February this year (28 February 2013), and together with the appointment of FordHarrison now has 43 law firms with over 1,300 lawyers based in 42 countries.
