Stephenson Harwood has appointed Salem Chalabi as a partner in its Dubai office. Chalabi is a corporate partner specialising in energy and infrastructure projects in the Middle East. He joins from DLA Piper, where he was a consultant since 2009.
Chalabi’s expertise includes bank financings, leveraged finance transactions and mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, refinancings and initial public offerings. He has acted for a number of government entities on infrastructure and real-estate development projects, as well as representing several of the Middle East’s largest companies across the energy, real-estate and private sectors.
Stephenson Harwood’s Dubai office launched in December 2012 and acts clients across the Middle East. Currently, the office undertakes commercial litigation, marine and international trade, asset finance and general corporate and commercial work.
