Epiq Systems, Inc., a leading provider of managed technology for the global legal profession today announced the opening of its offices in Tokyo.
The office, which is located in the heart of the city’s legal community, includes a newly built Document Review Services (DRS) laboratory with capacity for over 50 reviewers. Epiq will offer Clearwell processing and hosting as well as its own proprietary technology, DocuMatrix – one of the earliest platforms capable of processing Japanese characters.
Epiq also announced the appointment of Emiko Ito as Director of Document Review Services (DRS) in Japan. Emiko, who graduated in Washington and is a New York attorney, will manage the company’s DRS offering in Tokyo, having managed document review teams and projects in Japan for a number of years.
