DLA Piper has announced that David Durham has joined the firm’s employment practice as a partner in the San Francisco office.
Durham’s practice centres on traditional labour and employment matters, including representing employers in union elections, unfair labour practices, collective bargaining negotiations, outsourcing, strike preparation and other strategic issues growing out of industry change such as automation and international competition.
He has advised companies in a range of industries, including healthcare, food service, hospitality, construction and entertainment. He also regularly advises on employment-related issues, including wrongful termination, discrimination, sexual harassment, unfair competition, trade secret and compensation disputes. He also advises non-union employers regarding vulnerability assessments and planning.
Most recently, Durham was a partner at Arnold & Porter and previously was office managing partner and on the executive committee for a large national law firm headquartered in San Francisco.
