French boutique Lacourte Raquin Tatar has bolstered its team with two new partners, including the Royal Bank of Scotland’s (RBS) head of legal for France.
Cédric Bonnet, who left Gide Loyrette Nouel in 2005 to take responsibility for RBS’s French operations, has become a partner in the banking and finance team at Lacourte Raquin. The firm has also recruited Gide real estate finance associate Emilie Capron as a partner.
The news follows Brown Rudnick’s recruitment of Lacourte Raquin litigation partner Sébastien Bonnard to launch in Paris late last year (16 December 2013).
Bonnet and Capron’s hires bring the number of partners at Lacourte Raquin to 14.
The boutique expanded last year with the arrival of Gide partners Serge Tatar and Renaud Rossa, rebranding in the process from its original name of Lacourte Balas Raquin (8 March 2013).
The appointments continue a busy period of hiring for firms in France. Yesterday (16 January 2014) Gide announced the recruitment of two restructuring partners from Dentons, and a number of other firms – both French and international – have made lateral hires this year.
