Patrick Hill joined chambers after completion of his pupillage at Three Raymond Buildings in 2011. He is developing a broad practice across the main areas of chambers’ work, including in particular criminal law and extradition.
Hill prosecutes and defends a broad range of cases in the magistrates, youth and crown courts. He regularly appears on behalf of requested persons in extradition cases, while as a pupil he assisted in drafting observations on behalf of Abu Hamza before the European Court of Human Rights in response to the UK’s observations following Mustafa (aka Abu Hamza) v United Kingdom (Admissibility) (36742/08) (2010) 51 EHRR SE6.
Hill has recently assisted in drafting observations to the European Commission on behalf of an EU resident subject to asset-freezing measures against al-Qaeda, to seek his de-listing by the European Commission.
