A&O picks up four-lawyer team for Paris employment practice

Allen & Overy (A&O) has hired a partner from French employment boutique Flichy Grangé Avocats to head up its Paris employment and benefits team.

Claire Toumieux joins the firm as a partner along with three associates.

Toumieux is currently in her second two-year term as vice-chair of the European Employment Lawyers’ Association. She specialises in advising companies addressing their human resources strategies.

A&O Paris managing partner Jean-Claude Rivalland said employment law was a key part of the firm’s growth strategy.

Toumieux said this was a particular motivation for her move, adding that she was “very enthusiastic” about joining an international firm.

Flichy Grangé focuses exclusively on employment law. With Toumieux’s departure, the firm has 18 partners.
