Eversheds has appointed financial services lawyer Andrew Henderson as a partner in the London office. He joins the firm from Ropes & Gray, where he has worked since 2011 as counsel.
Henderson’s practice involves advising investment advisers, fund managers and broker dealers on all aspects of UK and European financial services regulation as well as financial services M&A, including the negotiation of regulatory approvals and regulatory due diligence.
He has a holistic regulatory overview, having twice being seconded to the former UK Financial Services Authority (now the Financial Conduct Authority) and the Financial Markets Law Committee Secretariat of the Bank of England.
He has also advised various emerging market regulators on law and policy.
Henderson’s experience also extends to advising on enforcement action taken by regulators, having acted for firms, individuals and regulators (including Upper Tribunal and FSA Regulatory Decisions Committee proceedings) in regulatory investigations and enforcement proceedings.
