Speeding towards trouble: foreign employees in company cars - .PDF file.
Employers of foreign nationals who visit the UK for extended periods and who need to drive for work should be aware of UK requirements for international drivers and their responsibility for employees’ health and safety.
As an employer, you must carry out an assessment of the risks to the health and safety of your employees, while they are at work, and to other people who may be affected by their work activities. This must be reviewed so that it remains appropriate. Other than employees commuting to their usual places of work, driving for work purposes is considered to be ‘at work’, and any risk assessment must address this.
