Simon McLeod is a partner at Goodman Derrick. He qualified in 1982 and since then has specialised in all aspects of corporate, finance and commercial legal work.
In the public company field this has included advising companies and financial institutions on takeovers, flotations, reverse takeovers and rights issues. In the private company sector he has advised companies on transactional M&A, joint ventures — some of a substantial nature — business sale and purchases as well as private equity transactions and funds.
McLeod has also experience of project and financing transactions acting for banks and corporates on their financing transactions.
He has particular expertise in the chemicals, energy and minerals, technology and the pharmaceutical sectors.
McLeod has regularly acted internationally and in recent years he has advised on transactions in western and eastern Europe, US, Russia, Kazakhstan, south-east Asia, east, west Africa and the Middle East.
He has been regularly commended in the Legal 500.
