Anthony Gill joined Chambers in October 2010 upon successful completion of his pupillage.
Gill accepts instructions in all areas of town and country planning, including housing, retail, compulsory purchase, highways, enforcement and minerals. He has advisory experience in all of these areas, and regularly appears in planning inquiries, enforcement inquiries, and enforcement prosecutions.
Gill is regularly instructed to assist in preparing planning application documentation and representations to examinations in public.
He accepts instructions in the field of Highways Law, including advisory work and appearances at public path and definitive map modification order inquiries. Gill also advises on town and village green applications.
He has experience appearing in licensing appeals, and has particular experience in appeals relating to premises licences. Gill also has experience in appearing in appeals before the Traffic Commissioner.
Gill is regularly instructed to draft papers in statutory challenges and Judicial Review proceedings in the High Court. He has experience appearing in the High Court on planning matters.
Gill has experience appearing in the Lands Tribunal and advising on references to the Tribunal.
