Allen & Overy (A&O) has hired two litigation partners and a team of associates from Hogan Lovells in Germany.
Litigation partners Wolf Bussian and Marc Zimmerling will join A&O’s Frankfurt office by April 2013 and bring with them a team of associates comprising senior associate Charlotte Willemer and associates Almut Koy, Andreas Schmidt, Torben Schwartz and Eva Schwittek. All join from Hogan Lovells.

Commenting on the latest hires, A&O’s German senior partner Neil Weiand said: “The growth of our German dispute resolution team is an important part of Allen & Overy’s global strategy. The appointments of Marc Zimmerling and Wolf Bussian, who are renowned dispute resolution experts, and their teams, will put Allen & Overy’s dispute resolution practice on a par with the German market leaders also in terms of size.”
Patrick Sherrington, co-head of the litigation and arbitration group at Hogan Lovells, said: “We have a leading global litigation practice, with a strong presence in every major centre, attracting some of the most complex, high-value international business disputes. We are sorry to see Marc and Wolf move on and wish them well.”
