For the second consecutive year, Working Mother magazine has named DLA Piper as one of the 50 best law firms for women, recognising the firm’s continued commitment to workplace equality.
DLA Piper offers a flexible and customisable work programme that supports its female lawyers. In particular, the firm’s Alternative Work Solutions (AWS) programme is integral to attracting, retaining and promoting talented female lawyers. A feature of AWS is the opportunity for lawyers to design their own plans for reduced hours, working remotely and flexi-time scheduling.
In addition to the Working Mother accolade, DLA Piper received Gold Standard Certification from the Women in Law Empowerment Forum (WILEF) for the third consecutive year in June 2014.
WILEF’s Gold Standard Certification is the only initiative directed toward certifying, and broadly celebrating and publicising, eligible law firms that have integrated women into the highest leadership positions in the firm.
On 29–30 September in Chicago, DLA Piper will host its annual Global Women’s Leadership Summit, which is an opportunity for high-level, female in-house lawyers to discuss the most challenging issues they face in their careers in a comfortable, all-female environment.
