Registration and transcription of lease agreements under Luxembourg law

It is becoming commonplace for lease agreements (commercial and residential) not to be registered and transcribed in Luxembourg. Indeed, although the number of executed lease agreements has been increasing since the beginning of 2013, many landlords and/or tenants are not aware of these procedures or still believe that they are not mandatory under Luxembourg law.
