DLA Piper has received Gold Standard Certification from the Women in Law Empowerment Forum (WILEF) for the second consecutive year.
WILEF’s Gold Standard Certification is the only initiative directed toward certifying, and broadly celebrating and publicising, eligible law firms that have integrated women into the highest leadership positions in the firm.
To qualify for certification, law firms with 200 or more practising lawyers in the US must show that women are represented in a significant percentage of firm leadership positions.
DLA Piper successfully met the required criteria in five of the six areas, including that women represent more than 25 per cent of the firm’s partners promoted in the last year, at least 10 per cent of its chairs and managing partners, at least 20 per cent of its governing executive committee and compensation committees, and more than 10 per cent of the top half of the most highly compensated partners.
This recognition follows on the heels of DLA Piper being named one of the 50 best law firms for women by Working Mother.
