Ward Hadaway raids rivals for Leeds launch

Ward Hadaway is to open in Leeds after poaching five partners and two associates from rival firms.

The eight-lawyer Leeds office, Ward Hadaway’s first outside the North East, will open in July and be headed by corporate partner Andrew Hoyle, former senior partner of Tyneside rival Watson Burton. Hoyle previously oversaw Watson Burton’s expansion to Leeds.

The new office will be staffed by Bevan Brittan head of the London healthcare property Guy Morgan; Cobbetts commercial property partner Kevin Weston; Berrymans Lace Mawer employment partner Alex Clements; Beachcroft construction partner Paul Washbourne; and Brooke North insolvency partner Steve Thomas.
