If you go down to the park next week, you could be in for a big surprise – and you'll certainly see some well-known property figures in a whole new light.
Canary Wharf general counsel and highly-rated songstress Michael Ashley- Brown will be performing in drag at the Party Near the Park charity event for the Unicorn Theatre. Ashley-Brown is even rumoured to have hired a costume from the BBC for the event. He will appear with two female colleagues as the Fabulous Canary Sisters singing Stand By Your Man.
A bunch of Ashurst Morris Crisp lawyers will also be among those on stage at the Honourable Artillery Company on 18 June. Led by partners Anthony Burnett-Scott and Richard Vernon, solicitors Jo Senior, Ian Green, Samantha Lake-Coghlan and Lucy Shearer will be strutting their stuff in white disco suits and wigs. Last year they performed their own version of the Village People classic, craftily reworked as YAMC. This year's number is Blame it on the Boogie.
