Household appliances manufacturer Indesit Company has taken on Alessia Oddone as its UK legal counsel and company secretary.
Former Mills & Reeve lawyer Oddone joins the company from Domino Printing Sciences, where she had been legal counsel since 2003.
Indesit ;Company ;is Europe’s second-largest producer of household goods, with brands including Indesit, Hotpoint and Cannon. It is listed on the Milan Stock Exchange.
Oddone takes over from Karen Bloodworth, who left to become legal chief at Bosch in April last year.
Indesit finance director Andrea Giubboni said: “Alessia brings a wealth of experience, particularly on an international platform.
“We look forward to working together to develop a comprehensive legal strategy across the company.”
Oddone’s responsibilities will include developing a risk management programme for the UK business as well as providing training to non-legal staff.
She is qualified as a solicitor in both the UK and Italy, having worked for Italian firm Studio Carbone & D’Angelo.
