Berwin Leighton Paisner (BLP) managing partner Neville Eisenberg looks a shoo-in to win a fourth term in the role, with no other names being put forward as the election process gets underway.
BLP chair Peter Robinson is consulting with board members and partners over possible candidates, with a partnership vote scheduled to take place next month. The winner will begin a three-year term in May.
Eisenberg said: “I don’t take these things for granted at all – there’s a democratic process in place and I have to let it take its course. I’m sure partners will take the right decision for the firm.”
One partner described the election process as “exceptionally low key”, adding: ;“I’d ;be ;very surprised if anybody stands against Neville Eisenberg.
We’re doing okay considering what we’re good at and how the market is.”
Eisenberg has been managing partner since 2000.
