Salans has snared Howard Kennedy’s head of employment as the expansion of its London team continues.
Andrea Nicholls has joined the international law firm after spending four years at Howard Kennedy. She had previously worked at Speechly Bircham before moving to Howard Kennedy to launch and develop the firm’s corporate employment practice.
But now Nicholls, who qualified in 1993, said she wants to concentrate on “growing and developing” her practice, particularly among international clients.
Nicholls has a strong reputation for advising companies and charities on all aspects of employment law, including senior executive dismissals, large-scale redundancy programmes and employment tribunal claims.
Nicholls’ appointment comes as part of Salans’ expansion of its London employment team. Last summer associates Michelle Banfield and Sarah Nicita were hired. Banfield joined from New Zealand-based law firm Bell Gully and Nicita was an advocate in Australia.
Barry Mordsley, Salans London head of employment, said: “Andrea’s considerable expertise and standing will enhance the reputation of Salans’ London employment team.”
