Insolvency set 3-4 South Square has taken on two new door tenants as part of a policy to develop international links through its members.
Dual-qualified Israeli and Singapore banking expert Professor Elinger and commercial academic and joint director for e-banking and commerce Marc Dassesse will both join this month, bringing the total number of door tenants to five. This includes Andrew Martin in Bermuda and Clive Cohen SC in South Africa. And German and English-qualified commercial practitioner Dr Michael Peglow works as a full-time tenant at the set.
Senior clerk Paul Cooklin says: “We can call on door tenants’ expertise and knowledge of local and other laws, and they’re in a position to receive work through our chambers as well.”
The set has also initiated exchanges in South Africa and there is a direct invitation for one barrister to go on secondment to the Cayman Islands.
