New York firm Chadbourne & Parke has doubled its Russian presence, securing a three-lawyer team and the St Petersburg offices of Coudert Brothers.
Counsels Alexander Kalinov and Konstantin Osipov and associate Nonna Crane join Chadbourne in St Petersburg. Senior associate Ludmila Yegorova has joined Chadbourne from Coudert’s Moscow office, and will split her time between the two cities.
It is the second Russian raid on the disintegrating Coudert for Chadbourne, which took on a team from the Kazakhstan office in July.
The disintegration of Coudert in Russia has sped up recently. The Lawyer reported DLA Piper Rudnick Gray Cary took two partners and two associates from the Moscow office on October 27. Orrick Herrington & Sutcliffe captured the bulk of Coudert’s Moscow office in June.
Chadbourne now has offices in Almaty, Moscow, Kiev (Ukraine), St Petersberg and Tashkent (Uzbekistan), where it focuses on oil and gas infrastructure projects, and through affiliates serves Baku (Azerbaijan), Minsk (Belarus) and Bishkek (Kyrgyzstan).
