Offshore firm Harneys has made up a record four lawyers to partner-level in the latest round of promotions, boosting its partnership to 14.
Tim Clipstone and Ross Munro have been promoted in the firm’s investment funds practice in the British Virgin Island (BVI).
Chris Young has been promoted to the partnership in the BVI litigation department.
Kissock Laing has been promoted to the partnership in the Anguilla office, where he has headed up of both the office and the local legal and corporate affairs group since joining the firm in 2006..
Harneys development partner Peter Tarn said it was the largest number of partners made up by the firm in one round.
“It reflects our growth in 2007 and our projected growth in 2008,” he said. “There is no clear unifying reason for the promotions, but they have all very clearly earned it.”
