Maples scores Eversheds Ireland partner

Eversheds’ Irish funds practice has been hit by the defection of its only partner to Maples and Calder.

Stephen Carty, who joined Eversheds O’Donnell Sweeney last April from Dillon Eustace, will join Maples’ Dublin office on 1 March. He leaves behind one associate at Eversheds. The appointment follows the April 2010 hire of Peter Stapleton, also an ex-Dillon Eustace partner. Maples Irish funds head Barry McGrath said: “We have a great bunch of senior associates, but we needed more senior people to manage that growth.”
