Finers makes fourth lateral hire this year

Bignell, whose practice focuses on a mixture of insolvency, commercial litigation, professional negligence, chancery work and alternative dispute resolution, is the fourth lateral hire made by the firm this year and the second in the litigation team.

He follows Steven Loble, who previously operated his own boutique firm, into the firm’s litigation practice.

Managing partner Paul Millett said: “Tim’s arrival is part of our strategy to build commercial litigation and in particular our insolvency litigation expertise.”

Bignell’s departure from Druces comes at a time of rare personnel change at the firm. Last month it hired Dundas & Wilson partner Julian Johnstone to replace Bignell as litigation
principal, having already hired commercial and property partner Bernard Hearn, who had previously been in-house at Darlston Property.
