Training

As City lawyers jet off for their summer holidays, training has remained a consistent story generator.

Stories to hit The Lawyer’s headlines have included Clifford Chance‘s appointment of a ‘people partner’ to oversee career development, Norton Rose‘s decision to outsource its solicitor-advocate training to BPP Professional Development and Nottingham Law School’s plans to launch in London next autumn.

But it is the wider themes of blended and e-learning, brand development through training, and the Training Framework Review that have continued to dominate most of City law firms’ HR and training departments.

This Training Special Report examines the impact that the Training Framework Review will have on the LPC. It also reviews the extent to which e-learning should be allowed to replace face-to-face tuition, and how the correct training strategy can assist a firm’s brand development.
