Partners David Dixon and Agnieszka Stankiewicz, who led Chadbourne’s Warsaw real estate practice, as well as of counsel Magdalena ?yczkowska-Jó?wiak and Robert Adam Kozlowski join Norton Rose Piotr Strawa and Partners.
The news comes just a week after the firm announced that the Warsaw office had recruited CMS Cameron McKenna partner Rafal Hajduk to its energy and project finance team.
Global real estate chief Lindsay Morgan told The Lawyer that the appointments are a coup for Norton Rose as the team is highly regarded in Warsaw not only for their practices but for their business acumen.
“This new team provides the Warsaw office with an immediate credible property practice and will complement Rafal joining the energy practice,” said Morgan. “It’s also part of a concerted expansion plan for not only Poland but for the CEE in general including Russia. The expansion and growth of the CEE group has always been part of our strategic plan.”
A Chadbourne spokeswoman from the Warsaw office said that the firm could not comment at this time as no official announcement had been made.
Chadbourne is left with 10 partners in Warsaw.
