LTA serves Couchman Harrington plum deal

London sports firm Couchman Harrington Associates has won a choice mandate from pensions company Aegon to advise on its sponsorship of the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA).

Aegon selected Couchman Harrington for the work ;after ;the ;firm ­performed well in a beauty parade. Sponsorship and sports marketing partner Andy Korman led the team.

“It’s nice that we’re getting these calls from big companies like Aegon,” he said. “We’re not big numerically but we do have one of the biggest sports practices in the country.”

The sponsorship deal is the biggest in the history of UK tennis and will see the Stella Artois tennis championship renamed as the Aegon Championship next year. Korman said Aegon had committed to invest in tournament facilities as part of the deal.
