SRA appoints intervention panel

Kennedys, Foot Anstey and Hill Dickinson are among 24 firms to win spots on the Solicitors Regulation Authority’s (SRA) panel of intervention.

The regulator said 166 firms expressed an interest in joining the panel for the three-year tenure, with tenders received from 59 firms.

The firms will be responsible for intervening in law firms that the SRA deems to be a serious risk to clients. Acting as an SRA agent, panel firms will be responsible for examining the accounting records of the intervened firms and distributing client monies where possible.
