Berrymans sees profit, turnover figures soar

Insurance liability specialist Berrymans Lace Mawer has continued its growth with a 23 per cent increase in turnover for 2008-09 to £63.8m.

Average profit per equity partner was also up, by 15 per cent, from £215,000 in 2007-08 to £249,000.

The national firm, which has offices in Birmingham, Cardiff, Leeds, Liverpool, London, Manchester, Southampton and Stockton-on-Tees, focuses on the defendant insurance liability sector.

The growth reflects senior partner Terry Renouf’s strategy to focus on the firm’s core market and the 2007 launch of a Cardiff office.

“We’re pleased and see it as hard work rewarded,” said Renouf.
